Heart Inspired Learning, LLC

Heart Inspired Learning, LLC is a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) Practice. We use the "Whole Child" approach to learning which means  we focus on your child's emotional, physical, and mental health development as well as his/her cognitive development. Understanding your child as a whole, allows for us to connect with him/her on a personal level which has a positive and lasting effect on their life skills and academic growth.

Heart Inspired Learning, LLC is designed to work with children of all ability levels. We offer a variety of services such as working with children individually, in small group settings, and/or working one on one with families and educators. Together, we will build positive and appropriate behaviors by fostering social and emotional learning skills at home and at school. We are here to support you as we become inspired by your child's heart.

Our Mission & Values

Heart Inspired Learning, LLC believes in all children. We believe that all children are talented and gifted in their own way. We believe that it is our privilege and responsibility to uncover and nurture these unique gifts.

Our mission is to reach children by learning about them as a whole child, while working with families and educators to help each child best develop socially and emotionally. By doing so, we will increase positive behaviors and decrease inappropriate behaviors, while strengthening your child's social and emotional development.

Meet The Founder, Mary Gipprich

My name is Mary Gipprich and I am the founder of Heart Inspired Learning, LLC. I have been learning from children for over 22 years and throughout this journey, I constantly reflect on the advice given to me by my former kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Burke. When I told Mrs. Burke I was graduating as an Early Childhood Educator, she said, "Mary, remember, the way to reach any child, especially those with challenging behavior, is always through their heart." I have never forgotten those words and they are truly the hallmark of my teaching philosophy.

Mary Gipprich, Founder

I believe that children need to be understood and loved as a whole child; understanding their heart and what makes them unique is the key to building a strong relationship. Once that relationship is built, anything is possible. I believe that we are here on earth to love one another (thank you Grandmom) and to learn and be inspired by each other.

As teachers, we are inspired by the hearts and souls of each child who enters our classroom; each family who we support and learn from; and each fellow educator that has this mission: help children find their voice and have the confidence to believe in themselves. When we allow our children to be themselves, and love them for it, we are empowering them to inspire the world, one heart at a time.

I began my teaching career in 2001 as an Early Childhood Educator and I have taught pre-k-5th grades as a classroom teacher as well as a special educator. I have had the awesome opportunity to coach families through "Infants and Toddlers" providing early interventions as a Special Educator. I have had wonderful experiences teaching in Baltimore County Public Schools; the Independent/Private sector; Harford County Public Schools; and as a private tutor. Now I continue to learn from my own daughters as they dream, discover, and develop.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Master's Degree in Special Education from Towson University. I am currently earning an Education Specialist Degree in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders from William Carey University. I specialize in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) instruction, leadership, and practices as well as behavior management and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) coaching. We work to create and implement specific positive behavior strategies for children with emotional and behavior disorders as well as for divergent thinkers/learners (such as those with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

It is my passion to understand and learn from each child, as exceptional as he/she is; it is my mission to empower those hearts to inspire the world.

I currently live in Harford County with my husband and two daughters. We enjoy spending our time together laughing, playing, and most likely, eating ice cream! Their hearts continue to be my daily inspiration.

"When we allow our children to be themselves, and love them for it, we are empowering them to inspire the world, one heart at a time.”
